Choose the Categories widget and add it to your sidebar or footer. You can do this by going to Appearance then Widgets. | Option 2 – Add it to your Sidebar or Footer. Once you see the category added to your menu structure click Save Menu.
Click on the Categories tab, check the box next to the category of your choice, then click on Add to Menu. Here are 2 different ways to use categories. If you would like to change the default category click on Settings then Writing. You can create a new category when creating a post or directly from the category screen. There are several proven ways to do it and we will take you through each one of them.There are 2 different ways to create a category. So if you really want to remove that copy from your website, you shouldn’t aim at the words themselves. That has changed, however, and authors are much more clever when it comes to hiding these words in hard-to-find classes. In the past, WordPress theme authors didn’t pay much attention to making this part of the website difficult to remove. WordPress comes with the GPL license, meaning that you are free to customize and amend the software in any way you need to and that refers to removing the “proudly powered by WordPress” message too.
Many people wonder if removing this copy is even allowed, and if that is also your concern, the answer is yes, you have the right to remove it. At the very least, it’s a “proudly powered by WordPress” copy, something you’d rightfully want to not appear on your website. In free WordPress themes, it’s usually their mark.
The problem is that, even in the free version, a little part of the original author remains.
