Part of the reason I was planning to use Reflect's "redeploy to dissimilar hardware" process is that it would make a full image of the source disk that I could then transfer to the target machine (including all those files, folders, desktop icons, etc.). The HP had been used by several people over the years and has a vast number of folders and file locations. My plan was to redeploy a full image from the source computer (HP Compaq) to the target computer (the Dell Optiplex). Both machines have Windows 7 Professional for the operating system. One of our clients want to upgrade her desktop computer (HP) with a newer Dell Optiplex 3020 model which is currently not in use in the client's office.
